Romance is the name of the game in this book. This book delivers what we all want more romance and excitement in our life. Overall I am very well pleased with this book and the excitement it has brought me. This book had me unwilling to put it down until I turned the last page as I was so enthralled with the plot.The author of this book knows how to deliver the good in this romance novel. Would I recommend this book to other people? Yes I would including friends .I absolutely think this is great book. Was great as far as it went... Stopped right in the middle of something. Did they get married, did they go on the trip, did she confront him in the office??????????
I HATE HATE HATE a story that doesn't finish! Why bother writing it in the first place. This author goes on the do not read list!

I bought this book in Houston from Ali Parker. I'm so glad I did!!
Bethany had no idea how hard it was going to be to work for Kent, soon to be stepbrother. Kent was HOT! Kent had blind women everywhere. Kent did not do relationships. Kent had an eye for Bethany who he called Beth.
Bethany got this job from her soon to be stepfather to help her get her masters degree. Beth and Kent has scorching chemistry that everybody was well aware.
There was a lot drama between coworkers and her classmates. Bethany and Kent learned to trust.
I enjoyed reading this story. It was fast pace and kept you moving.
I love books where there is a dominant alpha male and an equally sweet and humble female. The plot was well thought out, had strong characters, plot twists, angst and a hero with a very guarded heart. There were some very small errors in a part of the book but not enough to alter my enjoyment of the story. The chemistry between the two main characters was HOT and explosive!
The author also created strong secondary characters that could have their own story. If so utilized, I will definitely read them! I would recommend this book to anyone who loves dominant alpha males.
I would rate this as an R for strong language and sexual scenes.
There are a lot of Billionaire Series around, and by a lot I mean too many. However this one I enjoyed, especially with the added twist of the hero being the heroine's stepbrother, not really or not yet.....
Damon is just so domineering and closed off, while Bethany is this kick-ass go-getter set on completing her masters degree by any mean necessary (not what it sounds like, she is not a prostitute). Together their chemistry is just off the charts, so what do you do when your soon to be extremely attractive stepbrother becomes your boss??
Find out by reading the book I highly recommend you do!!
On a side note I prefer reading books that are written from a dual POV. I really appreciate the added insight of knowing what is going on in not just the heroine's head, but also the hero's too, I want to know how both characters react to a particular situation, and why they do what they do. With that being said, I loved the story nonetheless!! Looking forward to the reading the next book in the series!!
I liked the beginning. It was entertaining meeting the characters up till the swimming pool incident. I was mad at the mc because she was giving in too quickly and she didn't seem like the kind of woman who would. Her dating history wasn't very broad. Sure, she wanted to let loose but it just didn't make sense how she acted. It was like it was forced. Then the sex scenes were super lengthy and they got boring because there were so many! I wanted more story. I wanted to like this but I just couldn't read it all the way through. I was close to reading it until the end but I didn't want to read something that I wasn't interested in and waste my time.
Alpha is a hot read. Bethany is a hard working girl trying to make it in the world. She grew up with nothing, but wants to make her life better. She has put herself through college without loans. Now she must seek get a job to finish her education. Her future Stepfather makes her an offer she can't refuse. The hitch, she has to work for her Alpha, womanizing, hot, and sexy future stepbrother, Damon. Bethany is strong and believes she can overcome whatever Damon dishes out. Except, Bethany didn't factor in the attraction she would have for Damon.
The sexual tension between characters is thick. I was fanning myself through most of the book. The dramatic build up between the characters kept me reading through dinner. I couldn't put the book down until I was done! I can't wait to see what happens in the second book.
