I started reading this group of books with Self Portrait, then read the rest of the Portrait series and that led to Nick Fallon Investigations. I especially like Nick and his lover Eric--they have a sound relationship but it is not as fairy tale as some writers like to make them. Murder Above Fourth finishes up a mystery that has really gone through all this series, but Nick almost loses Eric in his single mindness. Readers that enjoy Josh Lanyon might appreciate this series.Product details

Loved this book so much!!!
Plot wise it ties all the loose ends from the previous story and it was good to see at least one perv getting what he deserved. And relationship wise I really loved that wake-up call for Nick from Eric. I enjoyed their steady, loving and supportive relationship throughout the whole series and I didn't doubt a minute these guys adore each other, but I really thought that sometines Nick's been way too careless about needlessly endangering himself with his job and hiding that from Eric. I thought Eric was absolutely right at confronting Nick and it really made Nick stop and THINK, really think about it and at the end, when they made up (and who actually had any doubt they would - these guys couldn't live without each other )) it was on new terms, and I believe more safe for them!
